I am a native Texan who has resided in Arizona for 13 years. I am a lifelong hunter, fisherman, licensed Arizona hunting guide and outdoorsman. My first hunting experience was with my father when I was 8 years old and since that time, I have harvested whitetail deer, Mule deer and other assorted small and big game animals. I have hunted and guided in the rugged brush country of South Texas, the mesquite flats of Southern Arizona and the wide open vistas of Northern Arizona. My favorite method for taking game is by archery. My preferred tactic is to spot and stalk from a remote hillside or ridge. I’ve often felt that this method “evens the odds” and loans itself better to my sense of adventure and fair chase. Backcountry backpack style hunts are one of my favorite hunting activities.
I consider myself a very ethical hunter and I have passed on more than one shot because I didn’t feel that the moment or situation would make for an ethical take. When guiding, I pride myself on my general ‘nice guy attitude” and my sense of humor. I always put my client’s needs first as I truly want them to have the hunt of a lifetime.
In addition to my outdoors activities, I also own and operate a archery related groups on Facebook, Broadhead Brotherhood with over 15,000 members and growing daily. Membership ranges from all over the country and a few places outside of the US, including South Africa, Germany and Australia. Broadhead Brotherhood is a trademarked name and LLC and has evolved into a business whose model envelopes charity, advice, hunting knowledge, and conservationism, just to name a few. I am proud of the work that I’ve done building Broadhead Brotherhood and even more proud to say that it’s not built on self-promotion, but rather by bringing a community of bow hunters together in a respectful, mostly drama-free environment that’s built on knowledge, advice, wisdom, conservation and “pay-it-forward”.
I am very adept at promoting my groups through social media and have developed an extensive list of contacts, both within the hunting community and outside. I have also coordinated several charity events such as the Broadhead Brotherhood Custom Knife Raffle for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Currently I am also the Chairman of my own charity 3D shoot; Broadhead Brotherhood Shoot for H.O.P.E. which in its first two annual events this year, raised over $62,000 for a local cancer patient support service. In addition, I am a life member of the Arizona Elk Society. We also actively sponsor organizational activities of various events such as the Desert Christian Archers Elk Seminar, Mormon Lake 3D Shoot and a Cowboy for Christ benefit bull-riding.
