Columbia Blacktail Deer
The record books tell the tale. Jackson county is one of the top Boone and Crocket record book producing counties in the world for trophy columbian blacktail deer and trophy cascade blacktail deer.
We can hunt either classification, it just depends on which area we choose to focus on. As with anything there are no guarantees. When hunting with us expect to see and have an opportunity at a buck ranging in the 17-19 inch range. Your shooting and hunting abilities will determine the harvesting of that deer.
We personally recommend that you are mentally and physically in shape for this hunt. Your abilities as a hunter combined with our knowledge will aid in bagging your trophy blacktail deer.
Primarily focusing on spot and stalk tactics, glassing for deer is our most commonly used method. Baiting is also legal here in Oregon. We are very experienced in this and it has proven to bring out the big boys when they aren’t willing to show themselves on their own.
